VI.5 - Participation in conducting (leading) the most important research projects or art projects over the last six years

Project: VEGA 1/0251/21 "Human Facial Attractiveness – the Key Characteristics and Psychological Mechanisms of Its Assessment"

Co-researcher: PhDr. Dominika Doktorová, PhD.

Project summary: The perception of a human face and its attributes represents a key moment in any social interaction. The assessment of attractiveness, its impact on human behaviour and the way it is experienced have long been the subject of many areas of science. However, various areas of psychology not only provide a description of this phenomenon, but have the potential to explain the internal mechanisms and reasons for the assessments. The possibilities provided by contemporary IT (the ability to generate digital facial composites) allow detailed observations of the consequences of specific modifications of facial attributes on

the perception and assessment of these by individuals. The principal objective of the project is to identify those key characteristics which have an impact on the perception of the attractiveness of a human face (both from the viewpoint of the perceived and perceiver) as well as the psychological mechanisms that contribute to the perception and assessment of human facial attractiveness.

Project: 2020-1-PL01-KA204-082037 Sophia – The Pursuit of Wisdom in Adult Education                                                                                                                        Co-researcher: PhDr. Dominika Doktorová, PhD.                                                                                                                                                      Project characteristics: The project is focused on an intercultural view of wisdom and adult education. In every culture, there are approaches that map this area and apply it to lifelong learning. The project aims to raise awareness of wisdom through cross-cultural education. The project also aims to start developing networks of educational organizations and to exchange best practices that could be used in the education of seniors. The basic goals are: to increase the competencies of teachers in the effective teaching of seniors, to talk to seniors and to compare experiences at the transnational level.

Project: VEGA 1/0454/18 Logophobia as an obstacle to the development of language competence in the acquisition of mother tongue and foreign language

Co-researcher: PhDr. Dominika Doktorová, PhD.

Project characteristics: Acquiring a foreign language is a necessity that is currently required. Psycholinguistics deals with the relationship and dependence between language and language consciousness, but in the form and in connection with anxiety this phenomenon becomes the subject of interest of several disciplines, as it combines the view of mother tongue learning, learning a foreign language - English, child and teacher personalities, which language conveys to him. Parents and later teachers at school play an active role in learning the language. It has been shown that the learning process stimulates certain specific areas of the brain, as well as developing a child's personality skills and competencies. However, if a child becomes blocked or has an increased level of narrative anxiety during development, he or she may develop neurosis to logophobia. Our intention is to reveal the sources and causes of its occurrence as well as the tools to eliminate it. /
