KEGA 015UCM-4/2018 Pedagogical practice of university students with the support of virtual dimension, responsible investigator, project time span: 2018 - 2020, The project was aimed at the creation and verification of teaching software that will serve in the process of preparing students for the implementation of pedagogical practice. Due to the interdisciplinary focus of the project, the research team was composed of university teachers from the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education of the UCM and the Department of Applied Informatics and Mathematics of the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics of the UCM in Trnava. The main goal of the project was to identify the most common pedagogical phenomena and situations encountered by students during their pedagogical practice, to process the identified phenomena into the form of a computer educational game and its subsequent verification through a quasi-experiment using the factor rotation technique. The output of the project is a computer educational game, conference EDUCOM 2020, Proceedings of scientific studies Pedagogica Actualis XII : current trends of pedagogical practice in undergraduate preparation / editor: Mariana Sirotová, Veronika Michvocíková. - Trnava : University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, 2020. - ISBN 978-80-572-0066-6. a AAA scientific momgraphy Mariana Sirotová -Veronika Michvocíková - Marián Hosťovecký. 2020 Supervised teaching practice of university students in virtual dimension ISBN 978-3-631-84579-0. currently in press, publication expected to be delivered in March 2021 and scientific studies in databased journals e.g. ADN

APVV-22-0221 Manipulative representations in times of crisis: Linguistic Strategies of Conspiracy Theories and Alternative Truths in the German and Slovak Language Space, member of the research team, project time span: 2023 - 2026, The project is dedicated to the investigation of linguistic strategies of conspiracy theories and alternative truths. The first major goal of the project is to create valid and representative corpora of texts on these topics from electronic media, especially social networks. The analysis of the lexis will be based on the given corpus material. The purpose is to indentify lexis (including phraseological units) typical of conspiracy theories and alternative facts. The identified material will be grouped according to a number of relevant criteria (word type, thematic reference, pragmatic-persuasive function) and thus classified into thematic headings, among others. Furthermore, symptomatic words, such as flag and stigmatizing words, which have a special meaning in conspiratorial discourse, will be identified. The results analysed within the German language domain will be compared with the Slovak language domain. Typical argumentation patterns will be indentified on the basis of a comprehensive textual analysis. Characteristic discourses in which conspiracy theories and alternative truths appear can be investigated and understood on the basis of in-depth discourse analyses and comparisons of specific discourses from a number of interdisciplinary perspectives. Based on this comparison, it will be possible to highlight the similarities and differences in the spread of conspiracy theories and alternative truths in different cultural contexts. Therefore, a multidisciplinary approach is an important aspect of the whole research. The results of the project will not only be presented comprehensively in several articles in databased and peer-reviewed journals, but above all in a collective monograph. The results of the research can serve the scientific public in various disciplines both in Slovakia and in the international context as a starting point for further scientific discussion.
APVV-17-0128 Comparison of linguistic strategies of right-wing populism (Germany - Austria - Czech Republic - Slovakia): lexis - texts - discourses, member of the research team, time span of the project: 2018 - 2021, The project is devoted to the comparison of linguistic specificities and linguistic strategies of right-wing populists in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. To this end, corpora with representative textual material will be created in the initial phase of the project. On the basis of the collected material, typical lexis will be identified in the next step. From a pedagogical and didactic point of view, the results of the research will be evaluated with regard to their further applicability and the possibility of their transfer to the field of education and training. Due to the comprehensive focus of the project, the research results are expected to contribute to the development of competence to identify and deconstruct the linguistic strategies of right-wing populism. One of the outputs of the project will be the creation of a university textbook Sirotová, M. - Michvocíková, V. et al. 2021. The phenomenon of right-wing populism in educational reality. UCM: Trnava, ISBN 978-80-572-0123-6.
001UCM-2-1/202 Innovation and digitalization of supplementary pedagogical studies and extension studies, responsible investigator, project time span: 2022-2023. The aim of the Faculty of Arts UCM in Trnava is to continue to implement qualification education in the following categories: supplementary pedagogical studies (SPS) and extension studies (ES). The process of alignment of study programmes (SP) with the new SAA HEI standards, which is currently being implemented at UCM in Trnava, will allow to implement the suggestions of students, graduates and employers also in the implementation of DPŠ and RŠ. Once the process of alignment of the SPs is completed and internal university accreditation is obtained, the curricula in the qualification education provided will also be innovated. Input will also be incorporated into the actual delivery of the educational process to more effectively take into account the needs of practice. The pedagogical laboratory needs to be expanded in terms of capacity in view of the larger number of students in qualification education (currently DPŠ 101 and RŠ 82). The current layout of the classical school session needs to be changed. Therefore, it is necessary to equip the pedagogical laboratory with mobile school chairs, which allow both comfort, but also offer storage space and a prompt change of grouping of students during group work or when using interactive methods. The aim is to increase the capacity from 15 to 25 students, which also implies the addition of tablets for working with the interactive whiteboard and the addition of a library for existing and newly created educational materials. During the pandemic, the DPT and ES were implemented in the online space through the MS Teams web platform and Moodle. Considering the assumption that the situation could deteriorate again and the implementation of the VET and ES would move to the online space, the aim of the FF UCM is to create a database of electronic interactive educational materials that would enable participants of qualification training to work effectively independently with immediate feedback. Last but not least, the aim is to increase the promotion of VET and ES in different types of media.
KEGA 004UCM-4/2022 Promoting students' health and well-being through inclusive education at tertiary level, Principal Investigator, time span: 2022-2024.The aim of the project is to gain new insights into the HRQOL-Health related quality of life and well-being of students, including students with specific needs in tertiary education, especially with regard to inclusive education and the interactive approach of university teachers. An inclusive university (= a university with an inclusive approach) should function as an accessible, open and approachable institution with cooperating teachers who share a common vision. One of the reasons why universities should move towards inclusive education is the fact that the quality of life of students with disabilities is strongly influenced by the quality of their educational environment (both physical and psychosocial). Staff resources, level of preparedness and pedagogical erudition of university teachers are key factors for successful inclusive education at tertiary level. The readiness of university teachers to educate diverse groups of students and their inclusive approach are among the most important requirements. In particular, interpersonal skills, empathy and flexibility are crucial, but on the other hand also the level of pedagogical competence. In the context of improving the quality of higher education, the vision of creating conditions and opportunities for inclusive education is generally created at universities in the Slovak Republic, and at the same time it includes the need to create a counselling service, which will have the task of providing counselling services with a focus on different areas of higher education and ultimately on improving the application on the labour market. The subject of the project is student assessment of subjective experience and health-related quality of life in the context of tertiary education with the aim of improving the quality of higher education for students and promoting their well-being, which will also be served by the creation of methodological bases for the development of support for higher education students, with a primary focus on students with specific needs. In addition to the above, it is essential to ensure that the college teachers have an inclusive approach, and at the same time that the methodological support for the work of the college teachers is open source. The project will carry out applied research, focusing in particular on students' health-related quality of life, life satisfaction and well-being in the context of tertiary education. The project will conduct applied research, focusing primarily on students' health-related quality of life, life satisfaction and well-being in the context of tertiary education. The results of the project will bring new approaches and innovative knowledge in the field of higher education pedagogy and will be gradually implemented into the theory and practice of education of students with specific needs in order to improve the quality of the educational environment, the readiness of graduates with specific needs for the labour market, the link between theory and practice, the readiness of university educators to work with students with disadvantages or specific needs, and last but not least, to increase the health-related quality of life of students with specific needs in higher education.
