2018-2021: VEGA č. 1/0563/18. Filozofická analýza stierania hraníc v modernom biodiskurze. Riešiteľ.

Popis projektu: Základným cieľom projektu je ontologická, epistemologická a etická analýza zmien a viacúrovňového stierania hraníc v modernom biodiskurze. Na jednej strane ide o stieranie ostrých hraníc medzi rôznymi vedeckými oblasťami na základe efektívneho prepájania poznatkov, metodologických postupov a výskumných zámerov viacerých vedeckých i technologických disciplín (converging science), na druhej strane sa stiera platnosť doterajších identifikačných kritérií, výkladových rámcov a noriem posudzovania.

VEGA 1/0563/18: Philosophical Analysis Concerning Deletion of Borders in Contemporary Bio-Discourse. Co-investigator.

Description of the project: The dynamic development in modern bio-sciences regarding genetic modifications, human enhancement, and systematic creation of new forms of life brought various changes and far-reaching transformations of boundaries in current bio-discourse. The most distinctive phenomena of these challenges are vivid in the transgression of contemporary identification criteria, assessment standards and long-lasting interpretation frameworks. This multipurpose convergence systematically exceeds the classical limits of different scientific fields and approaches; therefore, these new challenges and discursive reconstructions require the close attention of multidisciplinary array of contemporary humanities. The main goal of the project is to consistently react to the current transformative and potentially disruptive scientific research from an ontological, epistemological, and ethical perspective.

2018-2022: APVV-17-0064. Analýza multidimenzionálnej podoby trans- a post-humanizmu. Vedúci riešiteľ, 210 923 EUR.

Popis projektu: Hlavným cieľom projektu je viacrozmerný výskum vzájomných dynamických vzťahov týkajúcich sa problematiky editovania ľudských génov a posthumanizmu v piatich výskumných doménach: biológia-biotechnológia, filozofická reflexia, (bio)etická reflexia, biopolitická analýza a demokratizácia vedy, umenie a kultúra.

APVV-17-0064: The Analysis of the multidimensional character of trans- and posthumanism. Principal investigator.

Description of the project: The main objective of the project is multidimensional transdisciplinary research of mutual dynamic relationships related to the issue of human gene editing and posthumanism in five research domains: biology-biotechnology, philosophical reflection, (bio)ethical reflection, biopolitical analysis and democratization of science, art and culture. In particular, the project focuses on a philosophical reflection of the concept of trans- and posthumanism with an emphasis on human germline cells genome editing in relation to human nature, genetic determinism and aesthetic transformation of the human body.
