KEGA 015UCM-4/2018 Supervised practice teaching of university students with the support of virtual dimension, member of the research team,
Project time span: 2018 - 2020, The project was aimed at creating and verifying teaching software that will be used in
The aim of the project was to provide a software for the process of student preparation for the implementation of pedagogical practice. Due to the interdisciplinary focus of the project, the research team was composed of university teachers from the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education of the UCM and the Department of Applied Informatics and Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of the UCM in Trnava.
The main goal of the project was to identify the most common pedagogical phenomena and situations that students encounter during their supervised practice teaching, processing the identified phenomena into the form of a computer educational game and its subsequent verification by quasi-experiment through the technique of factor rotation.
APVV-17-0128 Comparison of linguistic strategies of right-wing populism (Germany - Austria - Czech Republic -
Slovakia): lexis - texts - discourses, member of the research team, project time span: 2018 - 2021,
The project deals with the comparison of linguistic specificities and linguistic strategies of right-wing populists in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. To this end, in the initial phase of the project, corpora will be created with representative text material. On the basis of the collected material, the next step will be identified typical lexis. From a pedagogical and didactic point of view, the results of the research will be evaluated for their further applicability and transferability to the field of education and training. Thanks to the comprehensive focus of the project, the research results are expected to contribute to the development of competence to identify and deconstruct the linguistic strategies of right-wing populism.

COST CA22121 - Rising nationalisms, shifting geopolitics and the future of European higher education/research openness (Member of Management Committee). Time span: 2023-2027.
The project brings together an interdisciplinary group of researchers to explore the changing dynamics between the university, the nation state, and the project of European integration. Through knowledge exchange and collaboration, it will bring together different pan-European and interdisciplinary perspectives on the relationship between neo-nationalism and higher education and the accompanying geopolitical pressures. The project will strengthen and showcase European scientific knowledge and establish contacts with stakeholders in higher education and research in order to generate ideas for addressing and mitigating the growing threats to the openness of universities and their capacity for global cooperation. APVV -22-0221: Manipulative representations in times of crisis: Linguistic strategies of conspiracy theories and alternative truths in the German and Slovak linguistic space - member of the research team. Project time span: 2023-2026.
The project is dedicated to examining the linguistic strategies of conspiracy theories and alternative truths. The first fundamental goal of the project is to create valid and representative corpora of texts on these topics from electronic media, especially social networks. The results analyzed within the German language area will be compared with the Slovak language area. Typical argumentation patterns will be identified on the basis of comprehensive text analysis. Characteristic discourses in which conspiracy theories and alternative truths appear can be examined and understood on the basis of in-depth discourse analysis and comparison of specific discourses from the perspective of several interdisciplinary aspects. Based on this comparison, it will be possible to point out the similarities and differences in the spread of conspiracy theories and alternative truths in different cultural contexts. A multidisciplinary approach is therefore an important aspect of the entire research. The results of the research can serve the scientific community in various fields, both in Slovakia and in an international context, as a starting point for further scientific discussion.

Student and university employee wellbeing with varying levels of perceived health self-efficacy: A comparative study in Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Slovak Republic
Timeframe: 2026–2028
The project focuses on examining the relationship between health self-efficacy and wellbeing among university students and employees in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. Wellbeing is understood as a subjective dimension of quality of life, encompassing the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and public spheres of an individual's functioning. The starting points are Albert Bandura's social cognitive theory, which provides a framework for conceptualizing health self-efficacy, and Ken Wilber's integral model, which allows for understanding wellbeing in its multi-level nature. The aim of the project is to adapt and validate tools for measuring health self-efficacy and wellbeing across three linguistic and cultural settings, and subsequently compare them. The project will contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors affecting quality of life and health in the university environment, providing evidence-based insights that can be utilized in wellbeing promotion strategies at universities.
