He has been working at the FMK UCM since 2013. He graduated from the University of Performing Arts, Faculty of Theatre, Film and Television Directing (1980), where he received his Master's degree. In 2019 - 2022 he completed his doctoral studies at the FMK and received his PhD degree with a dissertation on "The impact of digital technologies on creative practices in film and television". His scientific and theoretical activity is focused on the tracking of transformations in creative processes and practices brought to the field of film and television production by new technologies. He draws in particular on his long experience as a film director, which enables him to find new insights into the impact of digital technologies on creative practices in film production. He started lecturing Audiovisual Production, later Dramaturgy and Directing for Master's students at FMK.

Since 1982 he has worked at the Slovak Television, since 1986 he has directed a number of his own film and television projects, and since 1990 he has worked as a film director and producer. He is continuously working on film and television projects in cooperation with RTVS and other television companies and producers. He has made dozens of film and TV projects, hundreds of TV shows and numerous multimedia projects. As a member of the Department of Artistic Communication, he also acts as a supervisor of bachelor and diploma theses - especially those related to audiovisual and film.

Currently, he lectures several courses related to the creation and realization of audiovisual works (Audiovisual Practicum - camera, editing; Practicum of audiovisual creation, etc.). For a long time he has been leading Film Cabinets. Participates in the preparation of faculty film events, organizes lectures of guest speakers from the environment of film and television and collaborates on projects in this field. Study and teaching mobility from February to May 2022, at the Faculty of Mass Media Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. 5/ He has published articles in national and international journals and also at national and international conferences.
