VEGA No. 1/0283/20 Synergy of Media Industry Sectors in the Context of Critical Political Economy of the Media (2020), project leader. Abstract: The project aims to provide a deeper understanding of the practices and commercial imperatives of media production as it circulates within a late-modern liberal-democratic society. The main objective of the project is to create a body of theoretical -empirical findings that advance critical political economy of the media and aim to define the current commercial potential of media industry sectors, as well as a series of scholarly works related to individual media industry sectors and their economic and commercial aspects. Achieving this objective depends on the application of qualitative and quantitative research tools and the synthesis of the empirical findings obtained.
