- Received awards - The Dean's Award for Excellence in Studies at the University (2018), Commendation from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts for an outstanding thesis (2016).


Miroslav Kapec's scientific activities cover several areas, including radio and radio production, online and print journalism, social media and the issue of false content, especially in the online environment. In addition, he is interested in the impact of mainstream and alternative media in the Slovak media environment. He regularly participates in the preparation of faculty conferences and was technical editor of the journal Acta Ludologica. He also participated in the functioning of the LoGaSET project. For several years he has been leading the faculty radio Aetter at FMK, which in 2019 received a license for terrestrial broadcasting and from 2020 will broadcast for Trnava and the surrounding area. He is also the studio coordinator for three year groups.
